Shape Manipulation to take 2D - 3D
This week we were taught by a visiting practicing artist/teacher "Clare Qualman" who showed us one of her paper techniques. It involved creating unique shapes based on set rules and shapes.
After tracing my shapes off onto spot and cross paper i started to twist and fold them in different ways to create unique 3D forms that could be scaled up to be able to fit a human form. These pictures show the final structures up against the pattern they came from.
