Week 6

This workshop involved taking a men's tailored jacket and deconstructing it to see how it was made and also how you can create a variety of unusual shapes with the same pattern pieces. I think using a plain jacket makes it hard to see the full effects in the pictures so next time i would use a pinstripe or check.

Because of the structuring especially in the shoulders and lapels, when pining on the stand you could create some great contour lines and linear shapes.

 These pieces are so beautiful and true to its inspiration, tribal amazonian desert. I thought these pieces linked in well with some of the workshops we have done, especially the mutton cloth/tight experimentation in creating unusual shapes.
