2D - 3D Enlarged Scale
This week we took our shapes from the previous task and then scaled them up massively to see how they would fit the human body. I decided to cut my shape on the fold so it would be symmetrical and easier to work with.
There were 2 different ways to create shapes, on the mannequin and off it. Creating shapes off the mannequin would always give more abstract silhouettes but my preference was to do it on the mannequin as you could use the curves to create contour lines in the paper tat you couldn't do otherwise. The picture above shows my preference.
The thing that was interesting was that if you placed the structure in a different position/part of body you could create a totally different outcome.
